you can see from the photos, Kate was dressed flamboyantly as a Steam
Goth and was accompanied by the Dark Searcher, an extremely scary Norse
warrior clad in black and wielding a very large sword.

Kate O'Hearn
Today we had a visit from Kate O’Hearn, the children’s author. Kate
has written the ‘Shadow of the Dragon’ series and the ‘Pegasus’ series
and was talking to Year 8 about her new series ‘Valkyrie’. Set
in the times of the Norse legends these books tell the story of Freya -
a Valkyrie - an angel of death and collector of souls from humanity's
battlefields. But Freya is unlike any other Valkyrie. She doesn't want
to follow in the footsteps of the legends before her.
