On Tuesday, 21st
October, a cast of twenty-four students took part in the Shakespeare Schools
Festival at Roedean Theatre, Brighton . We performed ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, and
judging by the thunderous applause and cheers from the audience, we think it’s
safe to say we did the play proud!
We were praised by
the festival’s regional organiser for our communication of the text, honesty of
emotion, and for staging one of the “longest (and funniest) death scenes ever
seen on the English stage!”
Congratulations to
our cast and crew, you were a delight to direct.
