Sam Caughley and Anya Hayward-Brown write:
We visited the
Battlefields in Belgium
on the 23rd May and the French Battlefields the day after. There were
about fifty of Chailey’s History students attending the trip, with four teachers -
Mr Dudgeon, Mrs Rickman, Mr Barker and Mrs Smith. Throughout the trip, we
stopped at various locations significant to the battles during the First World
War. These included cemeteries, battlefields and even a real trench! Overall,
it was a fantastic experience, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I
think most people’s favourite part was the chocolate shop!
