The Inter-Form champions 2013-14 certainly achieved this in the 'Inter-Form
Celebration Day', Friday 20th June. 7 Glynde, 8 Ashdown and 9 Ashdown had
the privilege of wearing non-school uniform for the day. The form tutors
were also part of the day which involved a carousel of activities.
One activity was a mini cinema arrangement in the drama studio, this included
sweets, drinks and, of course, pop corn. The students were also put
through their paces with a qualified boxing instructor teaching them
the techniques of a professional boxer. The groups had chance to
relax in the library whilst playing games or reading books or magazines.
The final activity was voted the most popular with the sports hall kitted out
with a whole world of fun. They had the opportunity to play table tennis,
pool, skittles, giant jenga, giant connect four, inflatable twister, cash
grabber and not forgetting the 70ft inflatable assault course.
Students had prizes on offer for challenges in the cash grabber machine
and on the assault course. The last added bonus was having access to the
canteen early to sample the delights that were on offer at break and lunch.
All the students had a great day and after experiencing the day, were keen
to push for first place in next year’s competition.
