Twenty Year 7 students have just completed a course of
working on Lexia, the software literacy programme that provides individualised,
targeted practice for students to develop their reading skills. On Friday they enjoyed a party to celebrate
their achievements and were awarded certificates and given a book to choose
from a selection of authors including Michael Morpurgo, Roald Dahl, Anthony
Horowitz and Philip Ardagh.
We started using Lexia last September and this is the second
cohort of students to successfully complete a course of three sessions a week
for ten weeks.
