7 DI have been reading 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas' by John Boyne. They were each asked to bring in an item which symbolised how they feel about the novel so far, and explain their choice to each other in class.
Their chosen items were extremely diverse and included: a lock, to symbolise a secret being hidden away; a puzzle which needed to be solved; a model of a skull, to indicate death or that something bad might be about to happen; and a pair of Chelsea pyjamas... striped, of course!"
