On
Friday, Form Reps from Years 7, 8 and 9 ran stalls in the Sports Hall to raise
money for Children in Need. There were
lots of delicious cakes and sweets to buy; there were some skill games
including balancing a 20 pence piece on top of a lemon in water (much more
difficult than it looked) and moving jelly from one bowl to another with
chopsticks! Then there were the usual “guess” games, including the weight of a
cake, sweets in a jar, the name of the teddy and a couple of amazing treasure maps.
This
all took place over the lunch break and during that 45 minutes the students
managed to raise an amazing £618.00.
Well done everyone, what an achievement.
