On Friday 27th June, 45 Chailey students were lucky enough to attend the Hickstead Derby. A trip organised and led by Miss Thompson.
Throughout the day students watched many different events and were able to wander around a range of different stalls. Hickstead runs over four days in June and then again in August. There were many different events, including the Supreme Cob Championship. On Friday the main event was the Bunn Leisure Derby Trial and the winner at the end of the trial was Amgelie Von Essen, from Sweden. In between watching the different classes, we all looked around the showground and enjoyed the sunny weather.
