Live screening of 'Much Ado About Nothing'

Year 9 have today enjoyed watching a screening of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 2014 production of Love’s Labour’s Won (also known as Much Ado about Nothing), directed by Christopher Luscombe, which opened on 3 October 2014 at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.

In this production, Christopher Luscombe and designer Simon Higlett have set the play in the aftermath of World War One to reflect the impact that the War would have had on the returning soldiers and the relationships they had with those still at home.

Leonato’s house has been acting as a hospital during the war and is being used at the start of the play as a convalescent home for returning soldiers.

Year 10 GCSE Drama students are also watching the performance.
