In this production, Christopher
Luscombe and designer Simon Higlett have set the play in the aftermath of World
War One to reflect the impact that the War would have had on the returning
soldiers and the relationships they had with those still at home.
Leonato’s house has been acting as
a hospital during the war and is being used at the start of the play as a
convalescent home for returning soldiers.
Year 10 GCSE Drama students are also watching the performance.
